Hunters pass to north bowl

Skinned up hunters pass no major signs of instability, slight, light and sporadic collapsing over bushes. Elected to skin through hunters pass in an attempt to avoid the knuckle going up the traditional North bowl track. Experienced large area whomphing and collapse twice coming through hunters pass. Dug a snow pit on a west aspect at 2800 feet coming into lower north bowl. Right side up snow 10cm hard crust about 45cm deep. Ect failure at 12 with collapse and no propagation. 60cm total snow depth Continued skinning until 3000 feet on a west aspect where we encountered more extremely loud widespread whomphing and collapse. Turned around and skied the same pathway out.
