- <p>While traveling around I had widespread cracking and collapsing in low angle North-Northwest facing terrain. Decided to investigate, see attached snow profile. At the elevation I was at the October rain crust did not exist and all failures were occurring on facets at the ground.</p>

- <p>Facets at the ground were the main concern. </p> <p>Did find a graupel layer mid pack that could cause some problems but could only get failure on that layer with shovel tilt test.</p>
Saw John Haney out there and for what it's worth he said the snow sucked. That didn't stop him from putting in about 15 laps.
