Quick report

No other signs of instability were observed ascending to the Perch in primarily N facing old growth. Ski penetration seemed to average around 30cm, boot deep. Leeward cornices and convexitys were unresponsive to jumping and ski cuts. The west winds were fairly consistent until 1pm loading and filling in my tracks.

Avalanche

I saw several small D.5/1 storm slabs on the east facing headwall above the Perch. Small cornices had formed and possibly failed. As viewed from the top of the Perch they did not appear to be larger than 10 feet. The slides ranged from 50-100 feet long and not more than 100 feet wide individually. The nearby fingers showed no signs of activity.
