Quick report
The only places really holding snow in Rock Creek are north-facing avalanche terrain above about 10,000 feet.
I didn't reach alpine elevations on my trek today. However, what I saw near treeline was unnerving: a terrible base to build the winter's snowpack on.

Partly sunny skies with warm temperatures. Winds have increased out of the south-southwest. No blowing snow.
Snowpack
The only places really holding onto snow cover deep enough to be notable are the north-facing chutes and bowls that I like to ski. Unfortunately, the snow that I saw near treeline on these slopes will not make a good base for incoming precipitation. (see photos/profile)
I also found some patches of windboard scattered across open slopes. A 1 cm layer of 2 mm facets has developed atop the wind-pack. So now there are pretty consistent facets at the surface.
