Quick report

Collapsing
isolated

Overcast/poor visibility/light precipitation/+2C air temp/light NE wind Below 3,000ft the top 30cm of snow was moist. On steep unsupported southernly test slopes we could get it to run as a wet slab. We observed the freezing line to be at about 3,000ft. We dug on multiple aspects including NW and NE. Our most interesting results were at 3,100ft on a NE aspect: we had CT6 down 20cm sudden planar/ ECTP18 down 28cm on decomposing surface hoar buried 3/16. We chose conservative, lower angle terrain due to the warm air temperature which was causing instability.

Avalanche

Naturally releasing D1 wet loose avalanches on all aspects in steep terrain.
