Observation: Cardiac Ridge

While touring up the E,NE aspect near the bench below cardiac ridge we observed some minor cracking then a sudden collapse was felt and as well as whumpfing. We found that the crust above the facets was much thinner and more brittle at this higher elevation making it much easier to collapse the snowpack.
