- <p>Noticed some cracking on a few test slopes on northwest aspects on the walk out. Wind loading and cornice formation was apparent on the ridge lines from christmas storm. </p>
pit on NE aspect at 9500 ft, slope angle was 20 degrees, 75 cm snowpack depth. top 30cm was pretty cohesive and gaining strength. Below the top 30 cm was a thin crust with facets below it all the way to the ground. CT tests result was CT4 Q2 with failure 5 to 10 cm from ground. Second CT result was CT 7 Q2, with failure at the same depth. ECT test result was ECTP 14 Q2.
