I think I was alone on the mountain, did not see any other skiers. When taking off my skins I could see it was unstable (also saw cracking when breaking the uptrack) I was attempting to traverse out when it broke both above and below me. It was the entire face. It seemed that anything over about 35 degrees was unstable and I did see some naturals on the way as I skied down. I was carried about 450 to 500 feet down the entire face, but only partially buried. I did not deploy my airpack.
