We found good stability in wind-sheltered terrain; the recent snow (about 12") is low-density and hasn't formed a slab yet. The storm interface below the recent snow is very weak: well-developed facets or thin crusts above facets. Crusts are a bit stronger on east-facing terrain and only extend up to about 10,200' on northerlies. Drifts were localized to just below ridgeline or in obvious cross-drifted features from down valley winds and produced a mix of stubborn and reactive feedback, about 12" to 16" thick.
Produced one crack that shot about 10' while hunting for instabilities below corniced ridgelines. Triggered a small windslab on a crossdrifted slope below the bench.Weather

Good visibility of Climax, Schuylkill, Peeler Peak, and parts of Scarp Ridge and the Ruby Range. There were a couple of natural cornice falls that entrained loose snow (D1s) and a soft slab in Redwell Basin. I ski cut a small windslab about 12" thick on a crossdrifted slope in the Great Wide Open.
