Quick report
We had ambitions for something up high, but weather and low tide conditions saw us pivot to the Lincoln Pass area. We put on skis at the bridge below the chalet. Snow throughout the day saw about 2-3” stack up in the terrain around the chalet; the snowpack beneath that was quite consolidated and pockmarked from recent rain. Travel wasn’t straightforward, and we made one lap before heading back down the trail. Skies were obscured, winds were light, and snowfall was S2 max, most lighter. Temps were below freezing, with the snow level around 6000ft. Worth noting that the Sperry trail has plenty of blowdown. Might be worth taking a hand saw if you’re headed up there in the near future.
