Moist upper surfaces have firmed up into a carvable rime crust sandwich with little support at the base of the storm snow and a fine dusting on top. Avoided steeper faces and stuck to the low angles to maximize fun and safety. EC24 on a hand pit off the skin track, failed apx 15cm down on a faceted layer. Ski cut a test slope convexity with noticeable collapse/settlement and sympathetic release 30' downslope. Skied great but the snowpack appeared primed for failure on steeper slopes.
