Quick report
3 groups from the Alaska Avalanche School toured in various directions from the Independence Mine Lot to dig pits on SE, S and SW aspects between 3000-3700ft. All groups observed similar test results - good strength and no propagation, and similar structure (facets/depth hoar at the base of the snowpack). The skiing was great, the snow remains light and powdery.
