30-34F Calm NNE winds with sporadic light gusts within bowl throughout day. Few to Scattered clouds NO Precip observed, Rime layers have been melting consistently over previous 72 hours.
Snowpack
Snow Surface: Wind stiffened (1F+) , supportable, 10-25cm in variable locations. Overall, the snowpack is varying in depth and structure and reactivity but what remains consistent are the widespread basal facets. Drainages and slight terrain depressions harbor talus to 20cm with deeper sections averaging 80-150cm. Despite receiving failure on isolation for two CTs, the basal facets are too fragile and notorious for being unsupportive with that little real estate. Our ECTs produced sudden planar results, (ECTP11&ECTP 18), one on DF/preserved stellars and the other on the DH. I am uncertain on the spectrum of the preserved stellars, DF and graupel layers that are intermixed and potentially protected from the upper surfaces in exposed terrain, and would be curious to assess other aspects/elevations to see if this is: 1. localized to a specific aspect/elevation and 2. if it continues to act as its own weak layer for the time being and for this current load.
