Hard to say what exactly happened here as it's at least a few days old and much of the crown and debris were partially covered by the most recent snow. However the size and location made me immediately take notice. My ski partner who's been skiing this spot since the early 80s commented he's only seen it go two other times in roughly 40 years. The crown stretched all the way from the N side of Home Run Bowl to just west of Pointy Peak, wiping out some preferred lines that I'd always felt were "safe." Gnarly.
