One skier caught. No injuries, nobody carried or buried. This avalanche broke as a slab 1-2' deep, 100-200' wide, and ran for about 250'. From what we could tell, the slab failed on a weak interface between the new and old snow. It was fairly deep and firm in some areas due to wind affect. This slab happened to break about 15' above the skier and propagated quite far in all directions, especially down slope. West aspect 260°.

Forecaster notes: Went up and looked at this slide in the last of the day's light. It failed on small grained facets above a 4 finger melt-freeze crust. The mostly soft slab debris had chunks of other crusts in it and was potentially a a rime crust that was identified on the 14th on west facing slopes.
