Continuing to observe the aftermath of the early-Feb atmostpheric river cycle, trying to get things observed before the 2/6-2/7 storm covers evidence. I observed quite a few slides in both sheltered low and mid elevation terrain and in windy alpine terrain. I observed quite a bit of activity on E and SE aspects at upper and middle elevations, where an ugly crust+facet combo exists at the 1/31 interface. Based on direct observations of these crusts on steep solars during the drought, this weak combination exists on S and SW aspects as well. I don't think that S and SW aspects are significantly safer than other aspects, particularly in upper elevation terrain.
