Single digits at the end of the road. Much warmer in the alpine. Tree bombs were dropping and pinwheels rolling in the sun.
Snowpack
Did a quick pit at 6300ft, East aspect. CT21 Q3 on solstice crust/facets, not much energy. Column above was removed in one intact piece. ECT no failure/propagation.
Avalanche
Observed a few small crowns up around 7k feet
