Quick report

Mixed snow and rain, snowing above 4,800', estimated 6-7" of fresh heavy consolidated snow from previous 24 hours of snowfall. Fresh snow was not well bonded to crust layer, pole pit test was easy to release upper slab with a gentle tug. Alpine SE aspects produced small slow moving slides while skiing, but were easy enough to avoid. Treeline and below snow was more well bonded. Tree skiing and creek crossings were challenging due to poor coverage.

Small D1 slides on SE face of Koppen Mountain, heavy fresh snowfall not bonding to crust layer. Slide moved slowly downslope.
