A calm clear day under partly sunny skies. No instability.
We did not observe any evidence of wet loose activity or any other signs of instability along the ridgeline of West Mountain facing Cascade with aspects ranging from south to northeast.Weather

Calm and mostly clear, noticeably warmer up above 7,000 feet . The inversion made for poor visibility down low but at elevation the skies were mostly clear.
Snowpack
The snow surface has a 2cm crust on the surface on aspects facing the sun. The west aspect we sampled was windward, and this shallow, just over a meter or only around 3 feet at 7200’. Hand pits showed the 1/3 crust to be about 1 1/2 -2 feet below the surface at 6700’ on a North aspect and is faceted above and below, and is degrading enough that it was falling apart when I tried to grab a piece of it.
