Quick report

Toured up Falls Creek in search of sheltered steeps. Natural windslab avalanches were abundant in the alpine, including a D3 slide in the W couloir of Falls Peak. All of these avalanches overprinted the recent snow, dating them to the 19th or 20th. Skies were partly sunny and calm. Signs of warming were limited as of 1:30pm, even southerly rock bands lacked rollerballs. Upon reaching the alpine, fear of windslabs surpassed my human factors and I tucked tail. The upper valley harbored great skiing, although the exit is particularly thin this season.
