Quick report
Saw hefty surface hoar on E/SE aspects (estimated 10mm). Rode in N/NW trees and SH was almost non-existent in sheltered locations. Dug a pit on NW slope, 8880ft. HS 160cm, surface snow was a mix of SH and DF 2mm (F), upper pack FCsf 1-2mm (F), mid pack FCxr 1-2mm (F > 4F > 1F > P), bottom pack FCxr 2-3mm (4F > F). Basal facets especially seemed to be rounding as well as mid pack. Conducted one column test with result: CTN. Saw plenty of roller balls on solar aspects below/around cliff bands by 12.
