On the Park City ridgeline winds were moderate from the S and SE, road marker poles were collecting rime, most of the day was cloudy with mild temps. We observed some snow transport, but only at ridgelines and not significant. About 5" or 6" of new snow from the weekend storm, high density mix of graupel and rimed particles that was really fun turning and riding. Had one collapse on a north aspect at 9,300'.

Snowpack

Instability Comment

Dug a pit to check out our PWL, it's down about 75cm in this area. All of the faceted snow that we observed here has started rounding a little, which is promising to see. We only got CTH Q1 results on the Jan 4 layer, we had time for one ECT here which had no results (ECTX).

The structure is quite poor in the bottom 75cm of the snowpack, once we dug down to it we were wallowing in facets.
