Quick report

Diving on the snowmobile I noticed a cornice on a North facing slope. From the cornice there is a nice flat open area with good snow for snowmobilers. I dug a pit approximately 1KM West of the location of the cornice, half way between wolf creek and brownie creek. Temperature was about 40F with a light wind gust around 5mph from the SE. Couple areas of note are the two crust layers (49cm and 90cm), and two Q2 fractures (CT18@ 120cm and CT26 @ 110cm). When performing the ECT, there was no sign or propagation in the column. Understand that there is still a Fist hardness underneath a stable snowpack. This area is gentle terrain and very open for beginner snowmobiles to practice techniques with minimal concern of avalanches.
