Took a tour up to 6700’ and found a snowpack about a meter deep above around 5600’. Dug two holes looking for buried facets. I did not find any reactive buried surface hoar or near surface facets. The problem I found was rounding depth hoar. Got ECTP23 on that layer at 6600’ on a NE aspect. There was one old avalanche from the past week that seemed to fail during a rapid loading event, not sure the weak layer it failed on. Overall I think the snowpack is beginning to heal but I wouldn’t trust any slopes over 35 degrees.
