Quick report

We dug several pits on a northwest aspect at 7450ft. Observed snow depth was 135cm. Our small column test showed sudden results at a depth of 20cmbut the extended column test showed no propagation. We observed a significant presence of riding hazards such sink holes and open creeks and bare ground on some trails. No evidence observed

Weather was clear, warm and sunny with minimal wind and no precipitation.

Snowpack

The snowpack observed today did not exhibit any signs of instability. Our observations were consistent with the SAC forecast. There are currently early season riding conditions with early season hazards to be mindful of.
