Der snøen er våt og laus, er det mogleg å løyse ut våte laussnøskred. Glideskred kan òg førekomme der vatn samlar seg over glatte underlag som sva. I tillegg kan skavlar svekkast og falle.

Det er stort sett smelteomvandla snødekke der det er snø igjen.
