Forecast Snow Stability: The snowpack will continue to consolidate and become firmer in the colder temperatures. Stability will be genrerally good. Localised deposits of generally shallow, moderately bonded new snow that exist mainly on North to East aspects above 950 metres, will gradually consolidate. These deposits will remain in sheltered locations such as gully tops and coire rims. The avalanche hazard will be Low.

Snowpack Structure

Forecast Weather Influences: A mainly dry cloudy day with only occasional light showers. The freezing level will be around 850 metres overnight, gradually lowering to around 500 metres by the end of the afternoon. Winds will be moderate North-Westerly. Observed Weather Influences: A dry morning was followed by light summit snow showers during the afternoon. The freezing level was around 1050 metres. Winds were light and variable. ObservedSnowStability: The moist snowpack is consolidating, the snow is soft but generally stable. Localised deposits of moderately bonded new snow exist in sheltered locations on North to East aspects above 950 metres. These are mainly found around coire rims and in gullies and are generally shallow. The avalanche hazard is Low.
