Forecast Snow Stability: Good stability in most locations. Firmer snow surface in the shade, moister in the sun and at lower altitudes. The majority of cornices are now slumped and depleted in size. Those remaining over Easterly and in sun affected aspects will continue to shed, in thaw conditions. The avalanche hazard will be Low.
Forecast Weather Influences: Freeze, thaw cycles; overnight frosts followed by warm spring days. The winds will be light West-South-Westerly. Observed Weather Influences: Dry and cool overnight, at all elevations. The day has been bright and clear with warm sunshine and light, West-South-West and Westerly winds. ObservedSnowStability: Good stability in most locations. Firm, moist snow where shaded and softer elsewhere. Some cornices shedding with rock and debris noted on steep, mostly sun affected Easterly aspects. The avalanche hazard is Low.
