Forecast Snow Stability: The snowpack will be wet, soft but generally well bonded in most locations. Isolated wet snow instabilities will be possible on steep terrain with any remaining cornices prone to collapse. Deepest snow will be on North-East through South-East to South-West aspects above 900 metres. The avalanche hazard will be Low.

Snowpack Structure

Forecast Weather Influences: Continuing mild with freezing levels above the summit. Any rain will be light. Winds will be fresh in strength mainly from the South-West. Observed Weather Influences: It has been a cloudy but dry day. A temperature of +3 degrees was recorded at 900 metres. Moderate winds from the South-West. ObservedSnowStability: The snowpack continues to slowly thaw at all levels. Moderately bonded areas persist mainly in deeper deposits around corrie rims and gully exits on North-East through South-East to South-West aspects above 900 metres. Remaining cornices are also a significant hazard. The avalanche hazard is Moderate.
