The danger of moist and wet avalanches will increase during the day.

The surface of the snowpack will only just freeze and will already soften in the late morning. In particular on very steep slopes and in steep rocky terrain more small and, in isolated cases, medium-sized moist snow slides and avalanches are possible as the penetration by moisture increases. During the night as well, individual gliding avalanches are possible. High altitudes and the high Alpine regions: The near-surface layers of the snowpack can be released in isolated cases by individual winter sport participants. Naturally triggered avalanches and penetration of the old snow cover show the existence of a weak snowack. Backcountry tours should be concluded timely.

The snowpack is moist and its surface has a melt-freeze crust. The spring-like weather conditions as the day progresses will give rise to rapid moistening of the snowpack. Below approximately 2400 m only a little snow is lying on south facing slopes. Above approximately 1600 m there is still a very large amount of snow on north facing slopes.

Monday: Little rain will fall in some localities. The avalanche danger will persist.
