Avalanche Activity

As a consequence of the moderate to strong northerly wind, snow drift accumulations will form.

The fresh snow and the wind slabs can be released, especially by large additional loads,. On steep slopes small to medium-sized avalanches are possible. The avalanche prone locations are to be found in all aspects and adjacent to ridgelines and in gullies and bowls.

Snowpack Structure

In some localities 10 cm of snow will fall above approximately 1200 m. The sometimes strong wind will transport the new snow. In some regions in some localities up to 10 cm of snow, and even more in some localities, has fallen above approximately 2000 m.
