Wet snow represents the main danger. Wind slabs require caution.
In some localities up to 5 cm of snow will fall on Saturday above approximately 2200 m. Medium-sized and, in isolated cases, large natural avalanches are further possible.
As a consequence of sharply rising temperatures and a precarious avalanche situation developed. These conditions will facilitate a very rapid weakening of the snowpack. Sunshine and high temperatures will give rise as the day progresses to unfavourable bonding of the snowpack over a wide area in particular on very steep sunny slopes.
