In sintesi

The shallow snowpack will warm further today with the possibility of small, wet avalanches on isolated terrain features. Sunny aspects most at risk of significant warming also contain the shallowest snowpack so any wet snow avalanches would be limited in size. Previously wind-loaded terrain will warm to a lesser degree and is unlikely to avalanche. Be on the lookout for signs of warming. If you start to sink into wet snow, you’ve found the avalanche problem. Low avalanche danger exists today but remember that low danger does not mean no danger.

Previously wind-loaded terrain will warm to a lesser degree but remains unlikely to avalanche. Due to the mostly settled nature of the snow on the ground, avalanches are unlikely to be large enough to bury a person, though could push you off your feet.

Avalanche Discussion

A fast-moving cold front will impact the area tomorrow morning. This system lacks moisture. It should bring several inches (2 to 4) of new snow to the higher elevations and very little snow to terrain below 7,000 feet. Winds will be strong and veer from the southwest to the northwest. Gusts to 50 miles per hour are likely.The general avalanche hazard will be low above an elevation of 8,000 feet. Avalanches are unlikely up there. Any new snow will be accumulating on crusts and wind impacted old snow surfaces. No avalanche hazards are present at the lower elevations.
