Avalanche Summary

Where you find more than about a foot of freshly fallen snow, you can trigger an avalanche on steep northerly and easterly-facing slopes. Weak snow lies beneath this storm snow, providing a fragile base. Choose southerly terrain where you find hard crusts below the storm snow to enjoy the powder.
