In sintesi

At upper elevations the avalanche hazard is MODERATE where pockets of surface slabs to two feet in depth could be triggered in very steep avalanche terrain. The slabs were formed by strong Northwest winds Monday. Unseasonably warm temperatures yesterday developed a strong sun crust on southerly aspects above 7500 feet. Another warm day today could bring sloughs from rocky areas, trees or backcountry travelers. The chance of these sloughs becomming dangerous in size will increase as the snowpack warms. At mid elevations the hazard will climb fom LOW to MODERATE through the day. Avalanches are unlikely at low elevations today.
