With rapidly dwindling snow cover, we are done issuing snowpack and general condition summaries for the 2024-25 season. Most slopes are bare of snow except for northerly aspects. These also have very thin snowcover, especially at low elevations. Nevertheless, wet avalanches will remain a possibility in these areas until the remaining snow is fully consolidated or gone. The danger for wet slides increases under very warm temperatures and after nights without a refreeze. New and wind drifted snow can also cause the avalanche danger to rise on slopes that still hold snow. Use the weather links below to make informed decisions before heading into the mountains.
