The avalanche danger continues to decrease as time goes on. Overall there is a LOW danger on the Skyline. A pockety MODERATE danger still exists in the high elevation more northerly facing terrain. Human triggered avalanches breaking into weak faceted snow near the ground are possible but are becoming less likely.

    A Persistent Weak Layer of sugary faceted snow near the ground is your main concern today although chances for triggering an avalanche that breaks down to this layer are becoming less and less. The most likely places to find trouble are in the highest elevation more northerly facing steep terrain.

Current Conditions: Weather has been mild with scattered clouds, highs in the upper 30˚F range, lows in the mid 20s, and light wind from a southerly direction.

Mountain Weather: Mild weather continues through the weekend with scattered clouds, highs in the mid 30s and lows in the mid 20s. Wind speeds will ebb and flow a bit and will be variable in direction. It'll be generally light today from the south. There is a glimmer of hope for a pattern change starting around the 22nd.
