Today's light snowfall will begin to cover old snow surfaces. The old snow is mostly stable and avalanches are unlikely. If enough new snow accumulates, shallow loose snow sluffs may occur on very steep terrain features.

Periods of light snow showers are expected to continue overnight and through tomorrow morning. Accumulation amounts will be similar today with a few inches of new snow. Mountain temperatures will remain cold in the single digits to low teens and valleys will climb into the twenties. Overnight, southwesterly winds will be 10 to 20 miles per hour, and tomorrow, winds are expected to lessen and veer toward the north. The general avalanche hazard is expected to be Low. Today’s light density snow has fallen upon good sliding surfaces of faceted snow and crusts. On steep terrain, especially where the snowpack lacks cohesion, shallow sluffs will be possible. The main hazard continues to be hidden obstacles in the thin snowpack, and any moving snow could have significant consequences.
