In sintesi

Today there is a MODERATE avalanche danger on steep upper elevation northerly facing slopes. Human triggered avalanches are possible in this terrain. Avoid steep high northerly facing slopes for the time being.

Snow and Weather

Current Conditions: All the new snow since Saturday has settled by about 5 inches. This means it's becoming a little more dense and hopefully forming some sort of base. Temperatures have warmed overnight and are around 30 degrees at most mountain locations. The wind looks pretty light from the west.

Mountain Weather: We'll have cloudy skies today ahead of another storm that will move through tonight. Unfortunately, it is looking less impressive for our region as time goes on. At this point I'm thinking we should end up with 3 to 5 inches of new snow by Friday morning.
