Forecast Snow Stability: Some wet snow instabilities will exist in any recent deposits. Old isolated patches will remain on North through East to South-East aspects, above 900 metres; these will be well bonded and stable. The avalanche hazard will be Low.
Snowpack Structure
Forecast Weather Influences: The Freezing level will stay around 800 metres overnight, before rising to well above summits. There will be rain at all levels during the day. The winds will be moderate South Westerly, increasing West-South-Westerly by end of the period. Observed Weather Influences: Cooler than of late with snow showers above 800 metres; these cleared to give some bright periods as the day progressed. The winds have been strong mainly West-South-Westerly in direction. ObservedSnowStability: There has been a very light dusting of snow above 800 metres. This has not resulted in any significant change to the very limited snowpack. Isolated accumulations lie on North through East to South-East aspects above 900 metres. The avalanche hazard is Low.
