Avalanche danger continues to decrease because it has become difficult to trigger an avalanche on most slopes. The remaining areas of concern are where recent wind-drifted snow formed firm, connected slabs over weak snow on steep slopes above treeline. Steer clear of obviously wind-drifted slopes, especially below ridgelines and in cross-loaded gullies.
As the snowpack weakens, it will become easier to trigger small loose avalanches on steep, shady, sheltered slopes. While small, these could be dangerous if they carry you into trees or a terrain trap.
