Mostly stable snow exist. Avalanches are unlikely except in steep wind loaded avalanche starting zones and cliff areas where isolated pockets of slab one to three feet in depth could be triggered by humans. Low hazard does not mean there is no hazard.

Light to moderate snowfall will continue through Saturday morning depositing an additional 2 to 5 inches of light density snow in the mountains. Overnight lows at the upper elevations will be in the single digits before rising to near 20 on Saturday. Southwesterly ridgecrest winds are expected to range from 15 to 25 miles per hour.If forecasted snowfall materializes, the general avalanche hazard will rise to MODERATE in the Teton area where 6 to 18 inch soft slabs could be triggered by backcountry travelers in steep, wind-loaded terrain.The general avalanche hazard in the Togwotee Pass/Continental Divide Trails Area is expected to remain MODERATE. Backcountry travelers could trigger slab avalanches on steep slopes that are underlain by weak, faceted snow. These avalanches have potential to step down to the ground.The general avalanche hazard in the Greys River/Southwest Trails Area is expected to remain CONSIDERABLE. In steep terrain, backcountry travelers could trigger dangerous slabs lying upon a base of weak, faceted snow.
