In sintesi

The early season snowpack is mostly stable. At the higher elevations, skiers and riders venturing into very steep, wind loaded terrain might be able to trigger an isolated pocket of shallow soft slab. Be cautious of slopes with recent deposits of windblown snow, especially if upside down conditions are found.

Avalanche Discussion

Embedded moisture in the north flow could bring isolated mountain snow showers tonight, particularly on the east side of the continental divide. Winds overnight are expected to continue to veer to the northeast with 5 to 20 mph averages before decreasing in the early morning hours. By sunrise, skies will be mostly clear and winds will be calm. Temperatures are to be similar to today's, with mountain highs reaching the upper teens and valleys reaching the upper twenties to low thirties. The avalanche danger will be rated as Low.
