In sintesi

Cloudy skies and cooler temperatures will prevent the development of any wet loose avalanche problems on Saturday. Although avalanches are unlikely, be aware of "early season" hazards that exist with the current state of our thin snowpack.

Avalanche Discussion

Snow surfaces in the Central Cascades are currently a very mixed bag, with a melt-freeze crust on sunny slopes, wind-affected snow on exposed slopes, and some preserved dry snow on sheltered, shaded aspects. Conceptual knowledge of where to find what kind of surface conditions can be used to your advantage to find better riding on Saturday.

After a few warm days, Saturday will be relatively cooler and overcast, resulting in slopes exposed to the sun (E-S-W) likely staying firm throughout the day. If you travel on this terrain, be sure to have the correct tools and skillset to arrest any potential slips or falls.
