Forecast Snow Stability: Poorly bonded windslab will build as the day progresses on steep South-West to North-West aspects above 950 metres, as snow is redistributed. Coire rims and convexities fringing plateau areas will be most affected, particularly where accumulations achieve greater depth. Windslab on aspects exposed to the wind will start to consolidate and become eroded. Elsewhere, a light covering of superficial snow will persist above 550 metres. The avalanche hazard will be Moderate.

Forecast Weather Influences: A dry day is expected with snow showers above 300 metres towards the end of the period. The freezing level will be around 500 metres dropping to 400 metres later. Winds will be mostly light Southerlies overnight, gradually backing to come from the East by dawn. The wind will gradually strengthen to become a strong North-Easterly later. Observed Weather Influences: Some snow flurries overnight lingered into the morning, after which the day was mostly dry. The freezing level was around 500 metres at midday. Winds were moderate to fresh and predominately from the South-South-West. ObservedSnowStability: Windslab continued to build through the day on steep North to East aspects above 950 metres, as snow was subject to redistribution. These accumulations contain weaknesses due to the cold temperatures, mostly in wind sheltered areas such as coire rims, gully tops and convexities fringing plateau areas. Isolated windslab also remains on South-East aspects above 950 metres. Elsewhere, a light dusting of snow persists above 550 metres. The avalanche hazard is Moderate.
