Forecast Snow Stability: The patchy snow cover will be well bonded and stable throughout. The surface will freeze at higher elevations overnight but otherwise the slow thaw will continue. Greatest areas of snow can be found on North through East to South-East aspects above 850 metres. The avalanche hazard will be Low.

Snowpack Structure

Forecast Weather Influences: It will be dry with strong Southerly winds. Poorly defined freezing level due to a temperature inversion but higher summits will be just below freezing overnight and above freezing during the day. Observed Weather Influences: After some early light rain it was a dry day with strong South-South-West winds. The freezing level was above the summits. ObservedSnowStability: The remaining patchy snowpack is thawing but remains well bonded and stable. Greatest snow cover is on North through East to South-East aspects above 850 metres. The avalanche hazard is Low.
