The general avalanche hazard is Moderate. The snowpack is underlain by weak faceted snow. Backcountry riders and skiers have the potential to trigger hard slabs to the ground in very steep avalanche terrain even after a slope has been crossed several times.

( Discussion is generated from the previous day's afternoon forecast. )Partly cloudy skies with a chance for occasional light snow showers exists through Friday. High temperatures are to slightly cooler with highs in the upper teens expected. Winds are to remain light. The general avalanche hazard is expected to be:Moderate in the Teton area where pockets of human triggered dense surface slabs to thirty inches are possible in steep terrain.Moderate in the Togwotee Pass area where pockets of hard slabs to the ground are possible in very steep terrain.Considerable in Southwest Trails/Greys River area where surface slabs to two feet and dangerous full depth hard slabs are possible in steep terrain.
