Over a wide area 15 to 25 cm of snow, and even more in some localities, will fall on Saturday above approximately 2000 m. In regions exposed to heavier precipitation the avalanche prone locations are more widespread. The sometimes moderate wind will transport the new snow. On steep slopes and at the base of rock walls and behind abrupt changes in the terrain natural dry avalanches are possible, even medium-sized ones. From starting zones at higher altitudes natural avalanches, capable of reaching the valleys, must be expected in isolated cases. The barely recognisable wind slabs can be released even by a single winter sport participant. These avalanche prone locations are to be found in particular on very steep slopes and in gullies and bowls, and behind abrupt changes in the terrain.

Some snow has fallen since Thursday in particular along the border with France. Friday: 15 to 25 cm of snow, and even more in some localities, has fallen above approximately 2000 m. The new snow and wind slabs will be deposited on a weakly bonded old snowpack on rather lightly snow-covered shady slopes. Will be deposited on a crust on steep south, west and southeast facing slopes. Below approximately 2200 m only a little snow is lying on south and southwest facing slopes. Above the tree line snow depths vary greatly, depending on the infuence of the wind. Also adjacent to ridgelines hardly any snow is lying.

In some localities increase in avalanche danger as a consequence of the moderate to strong northwesterly wind.
