In sintesi

At the mid and upper elevations isolated pockets of soft surface slab formed by northwest winds lie upon a slick crust. These slabs, which are up to a foot deep, could be human triggered in steep, wind loaded avalanche starting zones and cliff areas. Caution is advised. Very little snow exists at the lower elevations.

Avalanche Discussion

A weak, westerly flow of moisture will keep skies partly to mostly cloudy Saturday night and into Sunday, and bring a chance of light, scattered flurries. Overnight lows in the mountains will be in the teens before rising into the mid 20s. The valleys will also dip into the teens overnight before rebounding into the mid 30s during the day. Ridgetop winds will be westerly at 15 to 25 miles per hour. The general avalanche hazard is expected to be LOW on Sunday. Isolated pockets, similar to the Headwall slide, could be human triggered at the upper elevations on steep, wind loaded avalanche starting zones. While relatively small, these slides could carry backcountry travelers over cliff bands or into shallow, rocky terrain. Caution is advised.
