In sintesi
At the upper elevations west-southwest winds have formed pockets of new soft slab up to one foot in depth on leeward aspects. These surface slabs could be triggered by humans who venture into steep wind loaded avalanche starting zones. With more snow and wind in the forecast these slabs will gain depth and volume and become more sensitive to ski cuts as the day progresses. Mostly stable snow exists at the mid elevations. At the lower elevations a thin crust developed overnight on a snowpack that has been subjected to several days of above freezing temperatures and rainfall. Some potential exists for wet slides to occur on steep slopes and known avalanche paths.
